Abim District is a district in Northern Uganda\u00a0 which became functional on 1 July 2006. Prior to that, it was known as Labwor County in Kotido District.<\/p>\n
Abim has a population size of 107966. The\u00a0people in Abim identify as Ethur and speak the Karamojong language.<\/p>\n
Subsistence agriculture and animal husbandry are the main occupations of the population of the district. Key foods grown \u2013 Sorghum, maize, millet, sunflower, simsim, beans, upland rice.<\/p>\n
Some of the attractions in Abim include; SolarNow Abim Branch (museum), rock climbing and mountain hiking.<\/p>\n
